🔹 Purpose of the Session:

To provide a detailed walkthrough of the catalogue module in Agora, showing how data can be posted, validated, and shared among university alliances using the platform.

🔹 Key Topics Covered:

  • Catalogue Module Overview:

    • Designed to store and manage diverse data models (e.g., internships, courses, research proposals).

    • Allows users to submit entries via web forms.

    • Managers validate entries before publication on the public site.

    • Optional auto-validation can be configured for some catalogues.

  • Validation Process:

    • Submitted entries are routed to managers via email and CRM for approval.

    • Communication between submitters and managers is tracked in the CRM.

  • CRM Integration:

    • Used to manage communication and track collaboration impact.

    • Only managers can access its CRM thread.

  • Website Display & Editing:

    • Data display is fully customisable (fields, filters, layout).

    • Managers with web editor access can adjust catalogue views using drag-and-drop tools.

  • Access & Permissions:

    • Creation rights can be restricted (e.g., to staff only).

    • EduGain login doesn’t currently differentiate user roles automatically.

    • Password-protected forms/pages or specific group settings can be used to limit access.

  • API & External Data:

    • Agora supports API integration for importing/exporting data.

    • Unite! uses iframe and API to display Agora data on its external site.

  • Deployment Info:

    • Agoras are currently hosted on UPC servers.

    • Testing environments can be provided upon request.

    • Plans exist to allow alliances to self-host in the future.

  • Training Resources:

    • Training materials (mainly videos) are available on the Agora support website.
